PSERT – The Plastic Surgery Education, Research, and Training Foundation

Beyond his plastic surgery practice, Dr. Neil Tanna is a noted author and highly respected educator. As an Associate Professor with the Hofstra University School of Medicine, he teaches medical students. He also serves as Associate Program Director for the Plastic Surgery Residency with Lenox Hill Hospital and North Shore-LIJ Health System. He trains resident physicians in becoming Plastic Surgeons.

Through the generous support of patients, corporate sponsors, and others, PSERT promotes research by facilitating clinical and basic science studies. Additionally, PSERT fosters the training of plastic surgeons by supporting resident physician and medical student education.

The research and educational initiatives of PSERT make a significant contribution to the high quality care and outcomes of patients.

Dr. Neil Tanna is grateful for his practice and training. In part, he believes that he is indebted to wonderful mentors. He is committed to giving back to society by making significant contributions to surgical care by volunteering.

Dr. Tanna experiences a profound sense of meaning by helping the underserved. He travels internationally, offering reconstructive surgical procedures and treatments.

To support this ongoing global reconstructive surgery effort, Dr. Neil Tanna established the surgical volunteer organization, Helping to Heal.
