Dr. Tanna did my breast reconstruction, he is caring and very concerned about his patients. As soon as he found out I was hospitalized with a fever his team was there in minutes to check on my condition. Anyone would be very lucky to have him as their Doctor.

Dr. Tanna & staff were amazing to me! Very accessible, easy to talk to and really doesn't get any better than Dr. Tanna, and his staff that I was in contact with! The Best!

I cannot say enough great things about Dr Tanna and his fantastic staff! Not only is his skill the best, his manner and personality put me at ease from the moment I met him. My husband felt the same way. We knew I was in the best hands possible for my Breast reconstruction. The staff is extremely kind, warm and very helpful. The office is one of the most efficient places I've ever been. He is extremely accessible by phone and email. I highly recommend Dr Tanna and his wonderful staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

42 year old fit and active mother of 2 young children with severe Diastasis recti

I am a fit and active (now 42 year old) mother of 2 young children (2 years and 4 years old). I have always been in good shape, worked out and taken great pride in my appearance. My stomach was always one of my “best” features. Following my first pregnancy and a difficult C – Section, my stomach stayed extended long after the incision healed. I continued to look 4 months pregnant well past the 6 month post delivery date. I was fortunate that my OBGYN recognized that this was not normal and recommended I see a surgeon for a consultation. I consulted one initially who told me to stop wanting to look like I was 20 years old (what?) and just accept that my body had changed. He called it the “mark” of motherhood. So not only was I feeling badly about myself and my appearance, I just had a medical professional minimize my feeling and in essence, tell me that I wasn’t accepting my motherhood. I decided to seek another opinion after I was done having children. After the birth of my second child, my stomach looked even worse. I continued to look 6 months pregnant more than 1 year following her delivery. I again went to seek out a surgeon, one that wouldn’t make me feel worse than I was already “feeling” and this time, reading all of the reviews on line and asking for personal recommendations. I went to see an additional 3 surgeons (this was going to be an extensive and costly procedure) and I was worried with 2 small children at home. I am so very, very fortunate that a friend recommended me to Neil Tanna. From the day I met Dr. Tanna, he made me feel totally comfortable, supported and valued as a patient, as a professional and a woman. He explained to me that I had severe Diastasis recti. I needed to have my stomach muscles sewn back together and a tummy tuck to fix the sagging skin. (I could put my hand in between the muscles. That is how severe it was.) Showing my extended stomach to anyone my , even my husband, was very emotionally uncomfortable for me. Dr. Tanna always made me feel comfortable as did his staff. From the administrative support staff to his clinical staff, I felt like everyone cared about me, my post surgery experience, the surgery itself, post surgery and even my family. The surgery was long and the recovery was uncomfortable in the beginning (as to be expected with the amount of repair that had to be done). The surgery was over 4 hours. I spent one night in the hospital and then went home. I went for routine follow up visits and was always seen in the office within 10 minutes of arrival. I went back to work 2 weeks post surgery (albeit a bit hunched over and walking slowly) and couldn’t lift for weeks (we hired a babysitter to help with the kids). On a few occasions, I called Dr. Tanna after hours and he got back to me within 1 to 2 hours. It is now 1 year post surgery and I am the envy of all of my friends and colleagues!! My stomach is TOTALLY flat (and you can now see my abdominal muscles again)!! I feel like a different person! Believe it or not, even better than before! The scar is there but below my bikini line (YES I WORE A BIKINI THIS SUMMER with confidence)!! People ask me if I could would do this over again and my response is OVERWHELMING YES but only with Dr. Tanna as my surgeon. He is truly an amazing person as well as a highly skilled surgeon.

Diastasis Recti Repair,(Tummy Tuck), 35 Year Old, 2 Kids - Lake Success, NY

Dr. Tanna is a wonderful and caring surgeon. From the very first consultation he made me feel confident and made sure I understood what to expect from my surgery. His communication after my surgery was wonderful. Any questions or worries I had, he was quick to respond to, he reassured me and made me feel like I was in the best hands, which I was! I am beyond thrilled with the results of my surgery.
